Chronic water shortages
Nakuru's rapid urban growth has outpaced water supply, leaving neighbourhoods rationed for days at a time.

Purple Favor Venturers provides affordable, treated drinking water sourced from our community borehole, improving health and transforming lives across Nakuru County.
Purple Favor Venturers was founded and formally registered in 2022 and is based in Nakuru County. We are a community-rooted social enterprise built around a single, practical idea: a borehole the community already trusts, treated to a standard families deserve, and priced so that everyone can afford it.
To improve access to safe water, promote better health, and build a sustainable, scalable solution to Nakuru's growing water challenges.

Clean water within walking distance
Shorter journeys, safer water, more time for school, work and family.
Demand has outgrown supply, and what is available is not always safe to drink.
Nakuru's rapid urban growth has outpaced water supply, leaving neighbourhoods rationed for days at a time.
Naturally occurring fluoride in Rift Valley groundwater causes dental and skeletal fluorosis when left untreated.
Longer dry spells and erratic rainfall keep shrinking recharge, deepening the county's seasonal deficit.
Women and low-income households walk furthest and pay the most per litre for water they cannot always trust.

Proven infrastructure, the right treatment technology and clean energy — working together.
A reliable, community-anchored water source already drilled, tested and producing — no waiting for new infrastructure.
Fluoride-removal technology and multi-stage filtration turn raw groundwater into genuinely safe drinking water.
A transition to solar cuts operating costs, stabilises pricing for families and protects the environment.

Fluoride-removal treatment paired with solar-powered pumping means safe water at a lower cost per litre, with far less exposure to fuel prices and power outages. Every efficiency gained is passed on to the families we serve.
Groundwater is pumped from our own community borehole at a monitored, sustainable abstraction rate.
Fluoride removal, filtration and disinfection bring every litre within safe drinking water standards.
Routine laboratory and on-site testing verifies purity before a single jerrycan leaves the plant.
Water points, refill stations and local delivery keep clean water within walking distance and within budget.
Earnings fund operations, solar upgrades and new service areas — growth that pays for itself.

Consistent daily availability households can plan their lives around.
Priced for low-income families, not for margin maximisation.
Treatment designed for the Rift Valley's specific water chemistry.
Clean energy pumping that lowers costs and emissions together.
Local jobs, local water points, local decision-making.
A model that replicates ward by ward across the county.
Revenue from water sales keeps the plant running today and builds the capacity that serves more people tomorrow.
Day-to-day running costs are covered by water sales, not donor cycles.
Phased move to solar pumping reduces diesel dependency and tariffs.
Surplus flows back into capacity, storage and new distribution points.
Working alongside Nakuru County Government on water access priorities.
Joint delivery with organisations focused on health and WASH outcomes.
Local employment, training and water governance participation.
Our distribution network focuses on densely populated, underserved wards where safe water is hardest to reach and most expensive per litre.
Purple Favor Venturers is seeking partnerships with development organizations, NGOs, county governments, CSR initiatives, and impact investors to expand safe drinking water access through fluoride-removal treatment and solar-powered infrastructure.
